Planning a Thailand family holiday? We have you covered. Here are some ideas on what to see and do during your getaway in Thailand.

Beaches

With a huge diversity of beaches in Thailand, you will be spoiled for choice. Generally speaking, most beaches are clean with clear water and plenty of space. With that said, some beaches are more suited to kids than others. Beaches that are especially safe for kids include Ko Samui, Phuket and the Andaman Coast and Chiang Mai. Patong can get busy. It is also worth noting that certain times of year can get busy – particularly the full moon festival.

Bangkok

The capital city of Thailand is without a doubt a sight to behold. Highlights in Bangkok include incredible beaches, amazing temples, the spectacular Grand Palace, Chao Praya River and its connecting klongs, Khao San Road, floating markets, tuk-tuks, food tours, museums and various other sights.

Chiang Mai

A visit or day trip to Chiang Mai is highly recommended. Highlights here include a lovely walled Old Town that is separated from the city by a scenic moat. This town offers markets every day of the week. Its walking streets are iconic, with plenty for kids to see along the way. Try cooking classes, hit the beach and visit some of the many interesting things to see around here.

Phuket

This popular resort town is also rewarding. It is best to plan your visit around the low season, which will be less packed full of party people and students who plan their gap years here. The beaches are excellent here and there are many fully inclusive resorts to choose from, including The Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort, Centara Villas Phuket and Centara Karon Resort Phuket.

With so much to see and do for all ages, a Thailand family holiday is sure to be an experience you never forget.
